The fortresses remember the wars. The people remember their former lives. Time has not settled every question.
Before there were three standards.
The clans are hybrids by history: ancient conflict, migration, refuge and intermingling stand behind their differences. On a planet this immense, increasing isolation gradually produced dominant regional traits without making any clan a single complexion or a single face.
Blaxskn, Lauxtskn and Auaxskn are distinct cultures of the same ancient Vxxtorrean people. No clan's human worth is defined by appearance.
A journey long enough to become a life.
The fortresses retain their old name in memory of the age when clans waged hundred-year wars. Warriors could travel half a lifetime to reach a rival homeland and fight.
Distance was not scenery behind those conflicts. It determined how people grew apart, how news traveled, and how much of a life could be committed to an old feud.
An isolated refuge. A new clan.
The Auaxskn began as a refuge for defectors from the heated rivalry between Blaxskn and Lauxtskn. Both older rivals resented the defections and the people who received them.
The refuge became the clan known as All skins. Predominantly white-appearing, it also includes every other shade and retains strands of inherited Blaxskn and Lauxtskn tradition. The smallest clan became the fiercest final hammer.
Protected within the Warp.
Vxxtorrea exists in a protected void surrounded by the Warp, held beyond invasion by its location and Tyvien's extraordinary power. All Vxxtorreans are born with Warp and psychic energy; only the strongest and most capable become Sol Marines.
Over the last ten thousand years, shared dangers beyond their home have softened older animosities. They have not erased every memory. Three clan flags still rise beneath the one world battle standard.
Banishment is not the end.
When a Vxxtorrean falls on the battlefield, the loss is not permanent death. The fallen return to Vxxtorrea as newborn children, carrying the memories of the life that was struck down.
They begin again without losing what they have lived. The creator's account makes their antiquity more than a span of years: memory survives the return.
Our past. Our future. Perhaps both.
Their world has its own temporal zone within the Warp and moves through time in a way outsiders cannot easily place. Are they the remnant of an earlier humanity, the answer of a later humanity, or both at once?
Tyvien's origin stands beside that question. Lost primarch, immortal protector, a rumored return of something greater: the story is allowed to unfold without the website declaring a final answer.
Humanity's final answer.
The Sol Marines are the united battle force of the Liberated Liions: three ancient clans facing the most dangerous threats to Vxxtorrea and humanity. They do not surrender their identities to fight together.
Their world remains hidden. Their people endure. When the story calls them beyond the void, the old rivalries meet an enemy none of the clans intends to face alone.
